Hood River, Oregon October 21, 2006
For this event I took Burnsie and guest co-driver Alan Perry into Oregon for the scenic one-day Mt. Hood Rally 2006. Held in Hood River Oregon, you will not find a more scenic event.
The stages were rather short, an average of 5 miles per stage, but this one day event was fast and fun. Twelve stages in all made for a very long and challenging day. Mr. Burnsie ran well but we did encounter difficulties throughout the day. From an intermittent misfire (attributed to bad gas), to a failing clutch, to a limping intercom! Simply another fun filled day of rallying!
We did very well finishing 2nd overall and winning PGT securing much needed class points in the regional PGT championship race. Thanks to this strong finish, we've now earned enough points to claim 1st place in the PGT race for the 2006 Regional championship! Congrats to the entire team for a job well done.
Special thanks goes out to Gary Cavett for stepping out of the driver seat and into the service crew role.
We couldn't have made this event without you.
Enjoy! - Jamie
