Clutch swap and Adding new bumper face

7/10/2003 - New clutch install...

A few rallies gone by and I've smoked the heck out of the OEM stock clutch on my WRX Wagon... I figure best to slip the clutch than destroy the transmission forcing it into gear...etc.  Basically, what you're seeing here is one hot clutch disk. Scored/burned from slipping the clutch over and over again.... pretty obvious of the damages when compared to stock.... BUT... I'd rather pay for a new clutch than a new transmission - Jamie

One overheated, scored clutch disk

New vs well used

7/09/03 - Time for a new bumper face!

After a few events, the front bumper face was looking a bit tired... and barely able to remain intact. One too many underside hits had damaged the contact points and the bumper face was hardly connected to the car in spots... time for a swap! (which is pretty simple) - I have to admit, i was surprised at how much dirt was hidden BEHIND the bumper face and the fog lights....extra weight! ahhhh! The swap probably took all of an hour and we used pop rivets as well as the OEM clips to hold the new bumper face in place... we'll see how long this one lasts!

remove fogs first

(hopefully yours is not this caked with debris!)

next up remove headlights and grill, bolts and clips are easily found

follow the trail of bumper clips and continue to remove them, the bumper face will eventually loosen and come off...

reinstall new bumper face in reverse order
