Burnsie the rally wagon - rally prep in full swing

DMS Rally suspension, hood pins, mud flaps, steel braided lines skid plate installed - stickers started... and Dave Clark is working on the cage - these things take time!

As shown in the photos the DMS use specialized adapters in the rear installation of the WRX which allowed me to easily bolt the rear strut top in rather than deal with fabrication - - all in all it took 15 mins to assemble the struts

Sparco stainless steel hood pins - stainless steel pins work best as they will not bend and sway like aluminum pins may. We also created and welded on a bit of steel to hold the bottom portion of the pin firmly in place.  Once the holes were drilled in the hood, and the pin was stationed, I painted over the welded bits to prevent rusting. (this installation in all took about 1-1.2hours)

Mud flap brackets were made by cutting 3/16" section of aluminum into 2-3" long sections - then drilling them out for pop rivets - then cutting out the mud flap material to best suit the shape of the car - next mark/drill holes into both body of the car and the flap itself - finally pop rivet into place. (fabrication/installation took 1-1.5 hours)

The team is using Goodridge stainless steel braided lines with Motul Brake Fluid and Porterfield pads.  Pull old lines off, install new WRX Specific lines, bleed, flush fluid, installed pads (front only at this point). (installation took about 1 hour

With every added part, this rally car is really starting to take shape!  more soon.... -  Jamie
