Rally Wagon Project - The Melted Wagon - Melted Parts are removed/replaced

2002 WRX Wagon a.k.a. "BURNSIE": Meet the 2002 Rally Car for the Subie Gal Racing team

These photos were added 1/25/03: My pal Mike and I decided to start right away on this project by swapping the major body bits thus making the car "street legal" and licensable as far as the dept of transportation is concerned. Amazing how much room there is in this car! I brought home 2 complete bumper faces, new head and tail lights - with room to spare. Mike and I swapped out the door handles, the front and rear bumper faces as well as the rear tail light. The car's good to roll now and merely needs the trim bits and 1/2 a roof rack to make it "good as new" - "Burnsie" as I've named him, will be restored bit by bit, but this is a good start, and enough to get a rebuilt title on the car! Next step is to get it registered w/the state of WA and then begin rally-fy-ing him!

Meet the 2002 Rally Car for the Subie Gal Racing team

This unique 2002 Subaru WRX was parked approx. 30 feet away from a building that caught on fire.  It was severely damaged - - basically, if it was plastic, or rubber, it melted!  The electronics and mechanics are perfect, car needs some cosmetic loving and a few rally parts and it's good to go... currently the car has just about 2,000 miles on it!

The idea is to get this wagon and run it in the SCCA Pro/Club Rally PGT (Production GT) class beginning March 8, 2003 at the Doo Wops Club Rally in WA state. We have a lot of work to do! Take a look!
