Regional Championship - Montesano, WA - For Immediate Release -

Driver Jamie "Subie
Gal" Thomas along with long time navigator Matt Gauger tackled
the first round of the Pacific Rally Group Championship 2007 with much
success. This is the season opener for the team and the first rally
they've run together since last May. Regardless, the team blasted down the stages to
a 3rd place podium finish and captured 1st in car class as well!
The Doo Wop Rally Series is quite
likely best kept secret in the world of rally. There is no other 2
day full rally event where a team can get both days of fantastic
racing for just $300. From tarmac stages, to high altitude to
the coveted Brooklyn Tavern stage - no other event can match it!
Great roads, great people, great way to start the season. Many
sincere thanks to the Damitio family for continuing to put on the
fantastic tradition that is "The Doo Wop Rally Series"
Stage one began
with a sideways torrential downpour. It didn't just rain, it rained
with anger! The team blasted their way into 2nd place overall, rain
and all, which was an eye opener to some of the surrounding more
powerful open class cars. Jamie and Matt managed to fight and
hang onto 3rd overall for the series, and took both days in the PGT
(Production 4wheel drive) car class.
"The massive
downpour we dealt with on the first day was a mess - but we made it
through very well." grinned Jamie
Thomas, team owner/driver, "Pretty fantastic weekend. It was
good to have Matt back in the car, the crew was on the money and
kept us moving fast! It was a very good event, great way to kick off
2007."
