2003

May 2003  - Added a "glove box light"

This car did not come with a glove box light, but everything you need to install one is already there. Clips, fuse plug in, everything.

I obtained a glove box light from a Legacy  in 10 minutes  - glove box light!

For those that are interested, Subaru Part number 83081FE000 will work just fine

March 2003 - Group N 6 speed shift knob.

I was lucky enough to come into this very hard to find Prodrive Group N 6 speed rally shift knob. Very Rare - Impossible to find

This knob is exactly like the ones used in WRX and other Rally Championships

So... of course I sold that crappy Momo Knob and installed this one

June 2003 - Added a Factory Subaru Trunk Light.

Why the RS did not come with one?

Again, no idea... but this is also a Plug and Play Installation.

I replaced the trunk Striker place - Subaru Part # 57531FA000 and added the Subaru Factory trunk light found in many other models #84611GA000 - the Impreza is pre wired for this part and literally, within 10 minutes  - I had a trunk light! Excellent upgrade

www.scoobymods.com has a great "how to do"  this mod install if you are interested

May 2003 - Stainless Steel Door Sill Cover

This one is a bit different I added Subaru Factory Stainless Steel Door Sill Covers This is a genuine Subaru part #E1017FA002

This part is made for the 4 door Subaru Impreza - but I adapted the larger pieces to fit my coupe. Sills Attach with clips and double sided tape.

Only downfall is over time they become scuffed and scratched, which is sad.

photo 2 of door sills:

The factory sill covers on the coupe are actually 2 pieces, and the front piece/larger piece is the exact same size as the larger piece of the Sill kit from Subaru. I installed the 2 larger pieces and left the back section stock.

July 2003 - I added the WRX Pedal Set

Again, these are Subaru Factory parts

To install, you will need 2 of part #36024FA010 and 1 of part #36024FA000.

The clutch and brake pedal are covers and were easily swapped.

The accelerator pedal was much trickier.

I used the guide found here at Scoobymods to assist in installation.  To complete the look, I added an aftermarket WRX Matching Dead Pedal (from KastlesKorner).  Pedals have good grip and look nice, totally worth the upgrade!

This photo shows the overall interior in 2003 - Sills added, pedals added, Custom "Subie Gal" embroidered (leather lined and diamond plated) floor mats in, the center console is no longer yellow (painted it steel gray), Prodrive shift knob in place.

2001

Installed Sparco Rev Seats

using Wedge mount brackets & Sparco sliders.

Seats were to eventually to be placed into my Impreza Performance Rally Car - but until that car was built they found their way into my RS :o}

Accompanying them were 3-point SaBelt Harnesses

Sparco Steering wheel

with Custom hub adapter installed

Hub adapter was machined to accept the cruise control & horn

Yes! I still have working turn signals, working horn and Cruise

Hella Map Light

As I was using this car in TSD (time speed distance) rally events - it only made sense to install a map light. I installed a Hella 19" map light, wired into the center console

This map light also eventually ended up in my first Performance Rally Car.

Yellow Shift knob, Yellow Pedals

Oh boy what do we have here? Jamie and her yellow fetish!

Painted over the OEM "fake" carbon fiber trim - yes, in Yellow!

Installed Momo Combat shift knob, and some seriously questionable yellow pedals

The pedals didn't grip very well that I can tell you! & the Momo Knob was horrible

But I got my Yellow On!

Another shot of the Sparco steering wheel and Sabelt harnesses

Subie Gal Trunk Mat

I had a custom thick carpeted trunk mat made up

Had it embroidered... yes, in Yellow... with Subie Gal

The company that made this item no longer exists sadly

It's held up great through the years, still looks new!

Digital Gauge Pack/Gauge pod

Came with the car when I obtained it, but is a genuine Subaru accessory which can be added quite easily. Item contains a digital temperature display, altimeter, and compass with varying lighting settings and display.
